MOON MAGAZINE

MOON MAGAZINE

This weekly magazine was begun in 1902 by writer Knox McGee and newspaper sketch artist Charles W. Jefferys. Magee wrote the text and Jefferys drew a double page cartoon satirizing political issues and social events. It was an incubator for many of Canada’s mid twentieth century editorial cartoonists: Racey, McConnell, Kyle and Hunter. It endured for two years.
