In 1976 he began a series of cartoon strips named “The Zilchies Of Deliriumland” which was transformed into “Fluffhead”. The only periodical that this strip is known to have appeared in was Crazy, 92, Dec. 1982: 66.In 1978 he self- published The Heart Single Field Theory and in 1979 followed it with Jaques. At the time he was living in Ottawa. He produced a mini comic Dinosaur Comics in 1983.

Jacques Boivin’s Love Fantasy (1987) appears to have been an attempt by him to create an erotic periodical. It was published by Renegade Press. About a year before The Complete Fluffhead, a collection of his strips was published in 1988, he began a professional association with Sylvia Rancourt and the “Melody” project. It lasted till the mid 1990’s. For Jacques varying roles in this project see MELODY.
