TORONTO CARTOONISTS SOCIETY

Out of the Ted Martin Cartoon Gallery and Illustrators Saloon emerged the Toronto Cartoonists Society.

In March 1994, this society presented James Simpkins creator of Jasper with its first lifetime achievement award which was a plaque.

In 1995 this organization had 50 members and held meetings at the Toronto Press Club. Chris Kemp aged 33 was the President.
