The 18 year old Kitchener Ontario creator of the humorous comic strip “Bernie on the Beat” he created his first comic strip based on his favorite television shows when he was in grade 7. These early efforts led to the creation of the Bernie character. “Bernie on the Beat” appeared in the Edmonton Journal from September 23 1980 to March 28 1981.
