COHEN Sheldon
Animator and illustrator, he received fifteen international awards including the British Academy Award for his animated film The Sweater (1980) based on Roch Carrier’s short story which he later illustrated for a picture book version. He illustrated another story by Roch Carrier called Un Champion later appearing in an English edition The Boxing Champion (1991). For Un Champion he won the Governor General’s Award for French-language children’s illustration.
