NUNA AND VUT
A cartoon strip created by Alootook Ipellie for the east Arctic newspaper Nunatsiaq News between 1994 and 1997.
The strip followed the adventures of two brothers through which Ipellie commented on the negotiations that created the territory of Nunavut.
An exhibit of the originals of these cartoons curated by Danielle Printup was held at the Manx Pub on Elgin Street in Ottawa from 30 September to 4 November 2018, and ran in conjunction with the Alootook Ipellie exhibit held at the Carleton University Art Gallery during roughly the same period..
