ZUEHLKE Mark

In 2007 he won the Lela Common Canadian History Award for For Honour’s Sake: The War of 1812 and the Brokering of an Uneasy Peace. He is author of the Canadian Battle Series detailing the campaigns of the Canadian Army during World War II.

He collaborated with Alan Grant on The Loxleys and the War of 1812.

In recognition for his contribution to Canadian history he was awarded the 2014 Governor General’s History Award for Popular Media: The Pierre Berton Award.

He is also an accomplished mystery writer. The debut novel Hands Like Clouds in his Elias McCann series won the Crime Writer’s of Canada Arthur Elias Award for Best First Novel in 2000. Sweep Lotus also part of the series was nominated for Best Novel in 2004.
