Born 1936 in France.
He immigrated to Canada in 1960 and travelled extensively throughout the country and held various jobs, but cartooned only as a hobby. In 1962, in Montréal, he began doing freelance work for several publications including La Patrie. Eventually, he was hired by Le Journal de Montréal as an editorial cartoonist. His cartoons also appeared in Le Journal de Québec. According to The Hecklers (1979) he was the most widely read cartoonist in the province.
