PHILLIPS James
Born 1956, in Newmarket, Ontario. And raised in Jackson’s Point, Ontario.
Began at the age of 15 years editorial cartooning for the Lake Simcoe Advocate. He studied cartooning and illustration at Sheridan College, and studied briefly at the Ontario College of Art. He won five Ontario and Canadian Community Newspaper awards. From 1980 to 2003/4, he produced “Suntoon” a daily cartoon panel for the Toronto Sun.
