LEAF Caroline

Born 1946 in Seattle.

She has created her films under the umbrella of the National Film Board. Her films include The Owl Who Married A Goose (1974), The Street (1976), based on an episode in Mordecai Richler”s book of the same name, The Metamorphosis of Mr Samsa (1977), based on Kafka’s “Metamorphosis”, Kate & Anna McGarricle (1981), and Two Sisters (1993). The Street was nominated for an Academy Award.

Her technique was a very exacting processes involving sand, silhouettes and drawings etched directly onto the film.
