LEAF Caroline
Born 1946 in Seattle.
She has created her films under the umbrella of the National Film Board. Her films included The Owl Who Married A Goose (1974), The Street (1976), based on an episode in Mordecai Richler’s book of the same name, The Metamorphosis of Mr Samsa (1977), based on Kafka’s “Metamorphosis”, Kate & Anna McGarricle (1981), and Two Sisters (1993). She won Ottawa International Animation Awards for Two Sisters and The Street which was also nominated for an Academy Award.
Her technique was a very exacting process involving sand, silhouettes and drawings etched directly onto the film.
