LAFAVE Kim

This British Columbia resident has won the Governor General’s Award for Children’s Literature, the Ruth Schwartz Children’s Book Award and the Ameilia Frances-Howard Gibbon Award for his illustrations in Amos Sweater by Janet Lunn. He won the TD Canadian Children’s Literature Award for Shin-chi’s Canoe by Nicola I Campbell. Fishing With Gubby was short-listed for the Governor General’s Award for Children’s Literature (illustration).

He also does advertising and editorial work and has been honoured with Gold from the Society of Graphic Artists of Canada, Silver from the Art Director’s Club of Toronto, and Awards of Excellence from Communication Arts Magazine and NAEB.
