Born 1937 in Montréal.
He joined the Star [Montréal] in 1952 as an office boy, then moved to the art department where he drew occasional spot cartoons. In the early 1960’s he moved into commercial art where he worked in film and the plastic arts while at the same time freelancing for the Gazette [Montréal]. He eventually became staff cartoonist there.
He used the nom de plume “Gamboli” which derived from the word “gambol” which means playful running and jumping about.
