He uses the nom de plume Isaac Bickerstaff which was first used by English writer and satirist Jonathon Swift.
Born in 1936 in Toronto, he is best known for illustrating a series of books by writer Mark Orkin. Usually his cartoons are more literary than political. He has produced caricatures for periodicals including Books in Canada and The Tamarack Review.
