MORRISSETTE Gabriel

Born 26 September 1959 in Abitibi Québec.

He studied animation at Concordia University in Montréal.

He met Mark Shainblum through Myles Charon owner of Montréal’s largest comicshop and the two created “Northguard Shainblum writing and l Morrissette illustrating. (See NORTHGUARD ). This hero first appeared in New Triumph no. 1, 1984. Later the two created a second hero “Infinite Man” (See INFINITE MAN) which Shainblum says is mostly Morrissette’s doing. They joined forces again in 1995 to create “Angloman. (See ANGLOMAN).

He contributed to Croc and Titanic, illustrated the sci-fi title Gaijin, and created a semi-humorous detective series called “Anne Chance.

With the September/October 1997 issue of Chickadee (later renamed chickadee), Gabriel assumed the illustrative duties for the feature “Daisy Dreamer” (See DAISY DREAMER). He continued in this function till at least 2014, making this the longest cartoon feature he was involved in.
