In March 1994, this society presented James Simpkins creator of Jasper with its first lifetime achievement award which was a plaque.

In 1995 this organization had 50 members and held meetings at the Toronto Press Club. Ted Martin was a founding member. Chris Kemp aged 33 was the President.
