KOLACZ Jerzy

He left his native Poland in 1977, spent a year in Sweden then moved to Canada. “I heard so many good things about Canada.”

His spare wry drawings exemplify a European style. Communication World magazine once named him one of the 10 top humorous illustrators in the world.

His work ranges from animated commercials, through concept illustrations, a subject he teaches at the Ontario College of Art and Sheridan College to illustrations for Chatelaine, Esquire, The New Yorker, Rolling Stone and Toronto Life plus newspaper work in Canada and the U.S.A.
